Are you looking for an adventurous travel blogger who writes fluent English as well as Dutch? Nancy is the person behind Wilderness Coffee & Natural High and (among other things) a specialist in travel to Iceland. Over the past fifteen years she has explored almost every nook and cranny of the country that boasts some of the most spectacular nature in the world. She is a Dutch native, fluent in English and even speaks a little Icelandic.

Nancy is available for website & SEO projects, content creation and editing. She loves to work with travel companies, tourist boards and regional visitor centres, to promote destinations and outdoor activities for adventurous & intrepid travellers. The local experience and fascination for nature is the key focus. Nancy also has a keen interest in geology and natural sciences.
Hunting for northern lights and volcanoes
On her blog Nancy writes about wild walking tracks, volcanic escapades and the elusive hunt for the northern lights. She writes her stories with passion, enthusiasm and a distinctive sense of humour. Wilderness Coffee & Natural High is aimed at active travellers who want to explore hidden gems, places of natural beauty and challenging hiking routes.
In 2021 one of her biggest dreams came true: experiencing an active lava-gushing volcano from up close, at the Fagradalsfjall eruption in Iceland. She checked out all the hiking routes around the volcano and its lava fields and wrote an extensive article about it, decorated with spectacular images from her drone.
Nancy is fascinated by natural phenomena such as northern lights, solar eclipses and the mysterious Icelandic fog waterfalls (dalalæða). She is drawn to islands and loves to hike, explore mountainous areas, and drink coffee in the wilderness. And she is crazy about volcanoes and the bizarre geothermal landscapes they form.
Experienced travel designer
Nancy has worked for several specialized travel agencies and other tourism companies, alternated with periods of working abroad and long journeys. She lived and worked in five different countries, including Iceland, Australia and New Zealand. In recent years she was also one of the torch bearers at the Þjóðhátíð festival on the island of Vestmannaeyjar, just off the south coast of Iceland.
